What We Do

Explore the six working programme areas through which JUS supports rights, education, livelihoods, health, inclusion and climate resilience.

The JUS 2026 working profile organizes the organization’s experience and intended work around six connected programme areas.

  1. Rights, protection and governance — participation, protection, access to rights and accountable local systems.
  2. Education and youth — learning opportunities, youth participation, skills and leadership.
  3. Women and livelihoods — economic agency, practical skills and resilient household livelihoods.
  4. Health, nutrition and WASH — community health, maternal and child wellbeing, safe water, sanitation and hygiene.
  5. Disability and social inclusion — participation, accessibility and reduced barriers for persons with disabilities and marginalized people.
  6. Environment and climate resilience — environmental responsibility, climate-aware production and household resilience.

Working programme concepts

The profile also identifies four models for further development: a Women’s Livelihood Accelerator, Community WASH and Health, Inclusive Youth Skills, and Climate-Smart Household Production. These are programme concepts rather than a claim that each model is currently funded or active.

Together, these areas relate to Sustainable Development Goals 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 13, 16 and 17. Individual projects and current availability should be confirmed directly with JUS.
