JUS traces its beginnings to 2005, when young volunteers and social workers in Prembag Union came together in response to environmental degradation and the social and economic exclusion experienced by local families.
The organization received registration through the Social Welfare Directorate in 2008. Over time, its work expanded from local voluntary action toward a rights-based development approach connecting education, health, livelihoods, disability inclusion, protection and climate resilience.
Community participation remains central to the way JUS understands local priorities and develops practical responses with the people most affected.
This narrative is based on the JUS 2026 working profile and should be read as institutional history, not as an independently audited chronology.
